On the occasion of the Fifth Centenary of Saint Teresa, six great contemporary composers, from both sides of the Atlantic, propose to explain the depth of the texts that transcend the centuries, from the perspective of current aesthetics. A union of music and spoken word, reviving the classic genre of the melologist, accompanying us through the intense literary work of the Doctor of the Church to take the thought of the spoken word to sound circles beyond the word but that reinforce its contents. Four Spanish composers, from different generations, have joined together in this exciting adventure. Of the generation about to be seniors, two people from Madrid, one with Canarian roots and the other Navarrese-Andalusian, Carlos Cruz de Castro (1941) and Tomás Marco (1942), have tackled two works based on the profound prose of the mystical writer .
