Opera di John Blow, Maurice Greene, Mr Seedo, William Croft, John James, John Stanley, John Reading, John Barrett - The program of this album presents a vast anthology of organistic operas by 18th century English composers collected and published by John Reading , one of the greatest organists, composers and didatti of that era. Custodied in the splendid library of Dulwich College, these have been handwritten by a large number of works by Maurice Greene, John Stanley, John Blow, William Croft, John Barrett and – naturally – by these John Reading. These brani were characterized by fascinating and brilliant writing, as if you could notice so many voluntary trumpets. This album features protagonist Riccardo Bonci in the assembly of the organ built in 1760 by George England for the Christ's Chapel of God's Gift of Dulwich College, a historical instrument particularly indicated for this generation of repertoire. The booklet contains very important notes on the history of the manuscript, its operation and its instrument.
