Tessarini later became a famous violin virtuoso, a talent that allowed him to make a series of triumphant tours of major European capitals, completely worthy of the mega-concerts of the most famous rock stars of our day. Tessarini died in 1766 in Amsterdam, leaving behind a copious production dedicated mainly to the violin. Tessarini's violin sonatas are located in the glorious framework of the Italian Baroque tradition, but already looking towards the gallant style that would fully assert itself towards the end of the 18th century, giving great emphasis to the typical Belcanto melodies and clear and transparent structures. . The protagonist of this album is Valerio Losito, an excellent violinist and a highly trained musicologist, who for Brilliant Classics has already recorded an album dedicated to Scarlatti and a superb recital focused on the fascinating sounds of the viola d'amore.
