In 1950, legendary cellist Pablo Casals established a chamber music festival in Prades, southern France. Since then, many of the biggest artists of the last 60 years have performed there. This repackaged and reissued 4CD set features Casals himself along with other musicians, including Isaac Stern, Clara Haskil and Dame Myra Hess, on recordings made during the festival's early years of works by JS Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms .
