As soon as he turns 16, Tomo (Thomas Turgoose) leaves the care of social services and escapes to London, where a lonely and difficult life awaits him. Marek (Piotr Jagiello), a Polish immigrant, lives with his father, who spends his nights drinking with friends. Marek is an enthusiastic, calm and sensitive photographer who is not comfortable in his father's world. Tomo and Marek try to adapt to their new surroundings, and after a chance meeting in Somers Town, London, they form an unexpected alliance. Unbeknownst to his father, Marek takes Tomo into his house. The two boys begin to earn money with the projects of an eccentric and enterprising neighbor. Meanwhile, Marek's muse, María (Elisa Lasowski), a French waitress, becomes the obsession of both young people. But when she returns to Paris unexpectedly, the boys are devastated. The situation worsens when Marek's father discovers Tomo and throws him out of the house. Even if they have to travel to Paris, the boys are willing to go to the limit to find María. Only then, through friendship, will they achieve redemption.
