In the middle of the Cold War, Colonel Ryszard Kuliński, alias Jack Strong, discovers that American plans for a nuclear counterattack against the Soviet forces will be carried out on Polish territory. With the aim of defending his country, and from within the communist military system, he begins to pass secret information to the CIA. Alone and in a psychologically exhausting cooperation where one wrong move can have tragic consequences for him and his family, Kuliński becomes one of the most relevant spies of the Cold War.
The script is based on historical documents including the testimony of Ryszard Kukliński. His exculpation was one of the conditions for Poland's entry into NATO.
