The combination of flute and guitar has a long tradition, dating back to Robert de Visée and, later in the classical period, to the composers Joseph Kaspar Mertz and Mauro Giuliani. The guitar has always been considered, especially in the period before the 20th century, as a means to discover new repertoires and often neglected composers. One of them was Rebay, who maintained that the fusion of the tones of guitar and wind instruments produced a sound much more attractive than that produced by wind instruments and piano. His works reveal a technique deeply rooted in the Viennese tradition. Gonzalo Noqué, guitar. Opinion. Track list: 1. Allegretto (moderate), 2. Tema , 3. Variation I: same time, 4.
