MOZART: Complete Keyboard Works [CD de audio] Bart Van Oort, Mozart and Various

This production remarkably includes no less than 8 first recordings. Performing fortepianist Bart van Oort, who, being a musicologist, unearthed Mozart's own arrangement for keyboard of his Overture to the opera Die Entführung, K384. It took Vvan Oort 10 years and quite some research to record all of Mozart's works for keyboard. The music for four hands is included as well. Here Van Oort is partnered by Swiss pianist Ursula Dütschler. Van Oort plays on five different (copies) of period fortepianos to convey Mozart's music as directly as possible without the necessary “translation” when playing a modern grand. This results in a great clarity of sound and structure. Part of this issue represents an important addition to the Mozart repertoire. The Adagio in F major, K Anh. A65, the Modulation Prelude, K624 and the Ballet music from another opera, Ascanio in Alba, K111, are among the first recordings too.
