Part 1
During the last days of colonial India, Shahid Khan survives in the Wasseypur region by robbing British trains until he is forced to flee and ends up working in a coal mine where he will be murdered on the orders of Ramadhir Singh. Years later, his son Sardar Khan vows to avenge his father's death and restore
thus the honor of the family, becoming the most feared man in Wasseypur.

Part 2
Wasseypur, the city that for so many years suffered the war between Sardar Khan and Ramadhir Singh, no longer burns like it once did but it hasn't changed much either. A new generation of criminals spread terror while controlling corrupt government officials and election fraud. Faizal Khan, son of Sardar Khan and heir to the family business, remains at the helm without forgetting the family inheritance that forces him to avenge his father's death.
