Santa Victoria, a quiet town in northern Italy, is famous for its delicious wine. Near the end of the Second World War (1939-1945), it is occupied by German troops, whose mission is to requisition a million bottles of the precious broth. But it turns out that, after the death of Mussolini and the fall of fascism, there is a new mayor in the town who finds the solution to avoid the looting: hide the bottles before the imminent arrival of the Germans.
