José, Paco and Luis, three middle-aged friends, go hunting in a preserve that was the scene of a battle during the Civil War (1936-1939) and where the three fought on the Francoist side. The group is completed with Enrique, Paco's young nephew. The three friends are going through difficult times - debts, separations, alcohol problems - so what was going to be a quiet day of hunting turns into a confrontation between the three of them.
