Adaptation of a novel by Charles Frazier. As the American Civil War (1861-1865) is about to end, Inman (Jude Law), a Confederate soldier wounded in the last days of the war, lives a true odyssey to return to his home in Cold Mountain (North Carolina) and reunite with his fiancée Ada (Nicole Kidman), who has been waiting for him for years.
