Ma is robbed by Chang and Huang, but thanks to his martial arts skills he manages to thwart the robbery and a friendship arises between them. The three declare themselves blood brothers and fight together to quell the revolt led by Yen Chen-feng. Ma is officially appointed, leaving Chang and Huang under his command and once Yen Chen-feng is defeated, Ma is promoted to Provincial Governor.
