"It's all about love" takes place in the near future and tells the story of two lovers fighting for their love and ultimately for their lives in a world out of control. John (Joaquin Phoenix) and world-famous figure skater Elena (Claire Danes) have lived apart for several years, he in Poland and she in New York mainly. Time has caused the distance between them to become increasingly greater. Eventually, John arrives in New York with the divorce papers, expecting Elena to sign them, but upon arrival he observes that strange and unexpected events occur around his wife. The people he considered friends turn out not to be friends and the love that seemed extinguished is rekindled. It is now in John's hands to save Elena from her fatal fate, if he can.
