Young Bowie has just escaped from prison with two other inmates. In the lair where they take refuge lives Keechie, a young girl who soon feels attracted to Bowie. Shortly after robbing a bank with his fellow prisoners, Bowie suffers an accident on the road; His colleague Chickamaw shoots the police officer who responds to the incident and they both flee.
