Django (1966) (Sergio Corbucci) (Blu-ray) [Blu-ray]

A young woman, Maria, beaten by a group of men, is rescued by Django, a mercenary who travels dragging a coffin. Django discovers that two rival gangs are fighting in the area: that of Major Jackson, a racist American, and that of General Hugo Rodríguez, a Mexican and revolutionary. Django teams up with General Rodríguez to carry out a coup that will bring them both a lot of gold. Django tries to keep all the gold and, after being captured by the General, is tortured, destroying his hands.

One of the most emblematic Westerns made in Europa that influenced and served as inspiration for a long series of titles from the most disparate genres, and to which Quentin Tarantino paid a spectacular tribute in “Django Unchained.”
