THESIS – “My name is Angela. "They are going to kill me"

Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the premiere of "Tesis", Alejandro Amenábar has supervised the new restoration of the emblematic title that launched his career.

A young student of Audiovisual Communication, Ángela, is preparing a thesis on audiovisual violence. Her teacher suggests helping her look for extremely violent films in the Faculty's video library. The next day, the professor is found dead in a projection room. Together with Chema, a classmate, Ángela decides to watch the tape that was in the player: it is a “snuff movie” in which the live murder of a woman has been filmed. With the help of Chema, Ángela, terrified and intrigued at the same time, tries to investigate that event without knowing that she could become the protagonist of another “snuff movie.”
