The film tells the story of Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul), a mechanic who drives muscle cars (classic large displacement cars) on an illegal street racing circuit. Needing the means to keep his family shop afloat, he reluctantly agrees to partner with wealthy and arrogant former NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper).
