Pancho (Dario Grandinetti), a fifty-something chef, lives a second youth in his native Buenos Aires. He has just opened a luxury restaurant with his girlfriend Rita (Agustina Lecouna), a young woman from a wealthy family. However, his life takes a complete turn the day Amparo (Cristina Valdivieso), a seven-year-old Spanish girl, who claims to be his granddaughter, knocks on his door. He then has no choice but to publicly acknowledge his secret: after a heartbreak, he returned to his homeland, leaving Lucía (Miró) in Spain, a daughter he never wanted to know about. Amparo carries with her a video in which Lucía asks her father to take care of the girl while she is in charge of solving a series of personal problems. The bad thing is that Rita, under these circumstances, kicks him out of the house. Pancho then decides to travel to Madrid to help his daughter.
