The students and crew of the Estrella Polar training ship board to embark on a two-month journey, but the same night they embark a massive storm breaks out. A failure of the particle accelerator built in Geneva has caused the continents to move and only one percent of the land has not been covered by water. But they are not the only survivors, as they soon discover when they receive a call from the international space station and pick up some castaways.
