The series narrates the adventures of Manolo and Benito, two bungling bricklayers without any malice who always destroy the renovation for which they have been hired wherever they are sent to work. Both have passed the mid-forties and live in a central and traditional neighborhood of Madrid. They are 50% partners ('Fifty-Fifty', as Benito asserts) of the general renovation company 'Manolo y Compañía' (or according to Benito, 'Benito y Compañía'). To carry out the tinkering workshop, they have the help of Tato, Manolo's rustic nephew who has just arrived from his town, and Tania, a 'whore' Polish plumber (as she presents herself to the clients). They receive most of their assignments from their particular 'public relations', the super fashionable interior decorator Tino, often working in areas of high society, where they do not always know how to mix and where they always end up showing off their campechanismo.
