Set in 1958, fashion in Spain undergoes an important change with the appearance of ready-to-wear. The series revolves around galleries with seamstresses and shop assistants. The Márquez family manages the galleries headed by the patriarch, Don Rafael Márquez (Tito Valverde), his wife Doña Gloria (Natalia Millán), Rafael's son and Gloria's stepson, Alberto (Miguel Ángel Silvestre) and Patricia Márquez (Miriam Giovanelli) , who is Gloria's daughter. However, the plot axis of the series is the love between the two protagonists. Ana (Paula Echevarría) is a seamstress from the galleries, beautiful, friendly and brave. Her parents died when she was little and she decided to go to Madrid with her uncle Emilio (José Sacristán), who also works in galleries.
