ISABEL: 1ª TEMPORADA (BLU-RAY) multiregion

This is the story that Isabel tells. Specifically, she does so from her training, when she was just a child until her coronation at just 23 years old, a key period to understand the personality of what was later called Isabel la Católica.

The story of a woman who decided to be the master of her own destiny without knowing the many sacrifices that this would entail, which were not few. She saw her childhood destroyed when she was taken from her sick mother and was forced to go live at Court by her half-brother King Henry IV.

He suffered the loss of his brother Alfonso, ahead of him in the line of succession, and, at just 16 years old, he made key decisions after a bloody civil war.
She refused, to the point of endangering her life, to accept any imposition of a wedding, defending her right to choose a husband (Fernando de Aragón). After her wedding, she endured gossip and financial limitations. She had to handle diplomacy with a toughness of character capable of putting an army (and her own husband, if necessary) to attention. And all for one obsession: being queen.

But, ISABEL, beyond the historical facts, narrates the passions, emotions and renunciations of a woman ahead of her time who refused to be a decorative figure and currency. Of a woman, with her defects and virtues, who achieved a power only until then destined for men. And it would not take long for him to face challenges that no one could imagine.
