Schusterman Levine: A Boxing Fable [DVD]

In Schusterman Levine's world, life is purposeless until he decides to become an amateur boxer and compete in the 1996 Atlanta, Georgia Olympics. Training himself, Schusterman attracts the attention of Susan King who, upon seeing something special in Schusterman, decides to help him in his search. Team Levine is rounded out with armor swift and tony tony. They went out to take on the world of boxing. Losing his first fight because his beard is too long, things continue downhill from there. Schusterman is knocked out when a rival puts on his guard, complains that another uses anti-Semitic comments to hit him, and only seems to win fights in which his opponents don't show up. To compound his bad reputation, whenever Schusterman loses to Tony, Tony starts fighting anyone near the ring. Encountering more valleys than peaks on her path to Olympic glory, Schusterman trudges along, determined to make something of her life. Just when it seems like things might be looking up for Schusterman Levine, he incurs the wrath of Leviticus Stephens, the president of the United States Amateur Boxing Association. Schusterman wants the sport banned. Now, the real challenge begins as Schusterman fights to prove that he does have a place inside the squared circle. Just when it looks like he's about to take the final ten count, Schusterman shows everyone that he is a true champion.
