Pablo Sciuto presents a fourth album marked by the return to pop songs, without leaving the music of his origins, mainly bossa nova, funk and candombe. ON is an album of textures, hypnotic guitars, eternal slides, folk chords and polyrhythms. The songs have an axis that revolves around loneliness, lack of communication, but also the energy it emits has an optimistic opening that focuses on the title of the album itself, to ignite sleeping dreams. That identity in the texts was transported to the music but seeking a sound architecture close to the trip, to the urban road movie. In the artist's words, it is a chimera but instead of having several heads, it has several souls and the heads are the antennas that transport the messages although they never reach their destination. The creation of the album itself was a journey that went through various stages and states until it became a whole. The producer of this work is the Uruguayan Santiago Montoro who has worked with artists of the stature of Jorge Drexler. I thought it was a logical option for my growth, I took into account other producers but my friendship with Santiago and the type of paths we were looking for led me to decide, above all the key was that we have different visions but the same intention. The album features guests with whom Pablo maintains a close relationship of opinions and aesthetic criteria. The Brazilian Leo Minax repeats his collaboration as in the previous album, but this time they merge to create a song with a different meter than the rest of the songs. It was a great challenge to work with Leo, not only because of the admiration I have for his work, but because the most difficult thing was to take the song to the pop field and avoid falling into the stereotypes of the rhythm, especially knowing where it comes from. In addition, there are lyrics written by the Uruguayan Pipo Spera, known for his friendship with the legendary musician of the same origin, Eduardo Mateo.
