Opening in Bb major D 470 (fragment completed by Christian Starke); String Quartet in Bb major D 112; String Quartet in E major D 353 - The second volume of the complete string quartet of Franz Schubert carried out by the Diogenes Quartet presents two youthful but by no means immature works, namely the Quartet in B major D112 and the Quartet in E major D353, typical Hausmusik pieces that were performed in the halls of the first half of the 19th century and to which the Viennese composer knew how to infuse his extraordinary genius, making them in fact immortal. The program is completed by the Opening D470, a pleasant piece in Italian style presented for the first time in the world in the arrangement for string quartet initiated by Schubert himself and completed by the musicologist Christian Starke. The first volume of the complete Schubertian Diogenes Quartet was received with great enthusiasm by the specialized press around the world, which highlighted very positively "the deep emotional involvement, the refined structural sense and the impeccable intonation."
