This album proposes three works by three composers from three different countries, united by the fact of feeling an irresistible attraction towards minimalist music, music for listeners endowed with a particular way of feeling, in which repetition, silence and meditation play a role of primary importance. The program includes the famous sonata for violin and piano by Philip Glass, one of the early pioneers and most representative exponents of the minimalist style, Time... and Again by the mystical Russian composer Giya Kancheli and Conversio by Erkki-Sven Tüür, one of the most important minimalist composers from the Baltic countries, whose style clearly reflects that of Arvo Pärt. The protagonists are the violinist Andrea Cortesi and the pianist Marco Venturi. The booklet for this album contains extensive liner notes and biographies of the two artists. Marco Venturi, piano
