Paco Cepero is about to celebrate 60 years of professional career. After having accompanied the greatest, such as Manolo Caracol, Mairena, Terremoto, La Paquera or Camarón, he continues at the foot of the canyon. At 75 years old, he is still in top form, both creatively and interpretively, and celebrates his anniversary with this new album... Under the title 'Sueño Latino', the Jerez native once again highlights his talent as a musician, and he does so through thirteen songs that overflow with art and personality. Among them stand out the alegrías 'Barrio Santa María', the rondeña 'Alcazaba', the fandangos from Huelva, 'Onuba', where their characteristic picado is a marvel, the bulerías 'Fenicia' and 'Alameda Vieja', - an explosion of sounds and accent of the land with a life of its own -, the tientos 'Albariza' or the granaína 'Puerta de la Alhambra' following that creative line that exists in most of his works, Cepero has also included original contributions in this one such as the song that gives its name to the album, 'Sueño Latino', or a piece dedicated to Paco de Lucía and Camarón de la Isla, titled 'A Paco y Camarón' or the rumba 'Topacio', a must-listen, or the ballad he dedicates to his wife, ' Para Chari' or 'Habanera de Amor', with which the album closes. Sueño Latino was recorded in Jerez, in the studio of singer David Lagos, “where I felt at home,” he admits, and features collaborations such as Paco León on second guitar.
