Chris Hamish (William Conrad) is a sheriff from a small town in the United States who travels to Mexico to hunt down Bob Kallen (Anthony Quinn), an outlaw who has taken refuge there. Once Bob is captured, they must travel a long way back to the United States so that Bob can be tried and presumably hanged.
