Enjoy La Residencia like never before, Spain's first major horror film production, an elegant Gothic tale of tortured passions and bloody murders directed by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador (Who Can Kill a Child?).
Become an emblematic title of Spanish genre cinema, it is presented for the first time restored in high definition in its complete uncensored version, sharing with viewers the director's original vision.
Teresa (Cristina Galbó) is the last to arrive at the boarding school for wayward girls run by the severe and authoritarian gaze of Madame Fourneau (Lilli Palmer). As the newcomer becomes accustomed to the strict routines, the punishing hierarchies between the girls, and their furtive extracurricular methods to free themselves from the prohibitive walls of institutional life, she learns that several of her classmates have mysteriously disappeared.
Meanwhile, tensions grow within this stifling environment when Louis (John Moulder-Brown), Madame Fourneau's callous but curious 15-year-old son, ignores his mother's strict orders not to approach the young ladies under her tutelage. The students, in a continuous state of tension, let off steam with frequent erotic activities that pose an added risk to their already dangerous confinement within the residence.
