Tom and Evelyn, a couple of English-speaking foreign tourists, arrive in the Spanish region of Benavís in order to sail, the next day, to the nearby island of Almanzora to spend a few days on vacation. The couple rests from their trip to the island in a bar, where they find everything as if people had left in a hurry, even leaving the chickens in the oven, already charred. While Tom goes looking for food, a girl comes in and caresses Evelyn's belly, smiling at her without saying a word and then leaving. After eating, the spouses go in search of the hotel, where there is no adult person either.
