Matt Fletcher is a buffalo hunter who returns to his town on the Rio Grande border with an appaloosa stallion. But when a Mexican bandit, Chuy Medina (John Saxon), steals his horse, Matt does everything he can to get it back. Although he is humiliated and tortured by Medina and his men, he does not give up and confronts the bandit. Matt is injured but is rescued by Trini (Anjanette Comer), Chuy's lover.
