In the 1970s, two young women are forced to face their pregnancies alone. One of them, Violeta, spends the last months of pregnancy in the foster home of a religious congregation in Madrid, while the other, Conchita, temporarily resides in a crib apartment run by a high-society woman from Bilbao.
