Documentary and film that narrate the life of the great film star of the 50s and 60s, Roy Harold Scherer Jr. (real name of Rock Hudson) was born in Winnetka, Illinois (United States), on November 17, 1925. He was the only son of Kay Scherer and mechanic Roy Scherer, a couple who separated in the early 1930s when his father left the family home. His mother moved to California with Roy and married Wallace Fitzgerald, a rough and aggressive man with whom the future actor never felt comfortable. Roy was not a very outstanding student. After finishing his studies at the institute, he got a job in the postal service and after going to World War II he returned to civilian life to start his new occupation in the city of Los Angeles: truck driver (his father was a mechanic and instilled his love of motor vehicles in his son).
