In the near future, North America has become a wasteland ravaged by radioactivity. A single large megalopolis stretches along the east coast: Mega City 1. This immense and violent city has a population of more than 400 million people, each of whom is a potential offender. Those in charge of ending chaos and imposing order are individuals who act simultaneously as law enforcement officers, judges, juries and executioners. Leading them is Dredd (Karl Urban), a living legend of justice who lives his entire life dedicated to upholding the law. On a seemingly routine mission with Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thrilby), a rookie judge gifted with great psychic abilities, they set out to investigate a homicide in a dangerous 200-story high skyscraper, controlled by the ruthless Ma-Ma clan ( Lena Headley). But when trying to arrest one of Ma-Ma's main henchmen, she locks down the entire building and orders her men to capture the judges. The fight for survival will force Dredd and Cassandra to act relentlessly. New adaptation of the comic of the same name already brought to the screen in 1995.
