In the only town in the Roman world that resists Caesar, Obelix falls brutally in love with a beautiful Gallic woman, Falbala. At the moment when, encouraged by Asterix, he offers her flowers, she rushes into the arms of her boyfriend, Tragicomix. In the course of a romantic walk, the couple are stopped by an eager but ignorant decurion, Effrayé, the head of the Roman camp, who sends them to the legion, to the Sahara.
