In his earliest childhood, the boy P. Tinto has a revelation: his purpose in life must be the procreation of abundant offspring. He dreams of a lot of children who grow up around him healthy and strong. Fifteen years later, P. Tinto and Olivia, a blind and stingy woman, form a home in an isolated valley through which only the North Pendular Express passes every twenty-five years. The P. Tintos want to have children, but the years go by and they do not come. Fifty years later, two little Martians, whose UFO has broken down, arrive at the place, and the P. Tintos think that they are their children. The Martians decide to stay in the house where they have food and shelter. At the same time, Usillos appears there, a tinkerer at home who, with the excuse of fixing some tiles, begins to cause damage and, furthermore, becomes obsessed with the idea of hunting Martians.
