Synopsis
George Hammond is a desperate man. In the midst of personal decline and in poor health, he is forced to stay in a homeless shelter after being left with no options. Without resources and depressed by his situation, he will struggle to get his life back on track, being forced to beg on the streets of New York, a place where being homeless means being invisible to society. After going through all the temporary shelters, he finds accommodation at Bellevue Hospital, the largest shelter for homeless people. There he will face a complex environment, full of marginalized souls like his own. But when George meets another homeless man at the shelter named Dixon, he begins to hope that he can overcome his situation and mend his relationship with Maggie, his estranged daughter.
