Prague, 1942. During the Nazi occupation, one of the top leaders of the Third Reich is murdered by Dr. Svoboda, a member of a Czech resistance network. The doctor takes refuge in the house of Professor Novotny, a former revolutionary, thanks to the help of Mascha, his daughter.
