Robert Parrish brings together two actors with whom he had previously worked, the original creator of the immortal Cry Me a River, Julie London (Faster Than the Wind), and Robert Mitchum (Hidden Fire) who took on a role originally intended for Henry Fonda. Mitchum plays Martin Brady who, accused of killing his father's killer, has fled to Mexico. There he works for the corrupt politician Cipriano Castro, but, as a result of an injury, he spends the period of convalescence in the care of Major Colton and his wife Ellen. Castro is not willing to let Brady abandon his life as a mercenary gunfighter.
