Jordi returns from Buenos Aires to the Valencian town where he was born to attend the funeral of his uncle Félix, mayor of said municipality and father of his first cousin Diego. The sudden appearance in the town of Vera, a young woman of Albanian origin, causes Jordi to decide to investigate the past of his father Pau, who disappeared 20 years ago and whom everyone already assumes dead. To do this he will have the help of his first cousin Diego, now a wandering writer who lives retired in a village in Perpignan. Together they will race against the clock to search for Pau, who tried to flee the country with Tirana, Vera's mother, in order to help her free herself from the criminal organization that had her subjected to the practice of prostitution.
