The last time Momo saw her father she argued with him and wished she would never see him again. Now her father is in heaven and all she has left of him is a half-written letter in which only the words "Dear Momo..." can be read. The young woman and her mother move from the big city of Tokyo to a small village on the island of Shio in the inland sea of Japan.
