Emilie (Céline Sallette) has recently been hired by her superior, Stéphane Froncart (Lambert Wilson ), as head of human resources for the multinational Esen because of her lack of scruples. Its mission is to get employees the company no longer wants to resign themselves, so as not to be accused of laying off hundreds of workers. Esen's strategy is to create a series of adverse circumstances for the selected worker so that, over time, they resign. Emilie follows the program with complete obedience, until one day, one of her employees commits suicide by jumping from her office window.
