The "July 20 plot" to end Hitler's life is one of the most heroic and least known episodes of World War II. Seriously wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) returns to join the German resistance and helps organize Operation Valkyrie, the complex plan for a shadow government to replace Hitler's once he was dead. But fate and circumstances conspire to project Stauffenberg from one of the many involved in the plot to a central double-edged role. Not only must he lead the coup and take control of his country's government... He must kill Hitler himself.

The pianist
Wladylaw Szpilman was one of the best-known Polish pianists, but when the war broke out, like so many other Jews, Szpilman and his family were evicted from their apartment and crowded with thousands of people into the Warsaw ghetto, where the pianist earned the life as he could playing in the bars where collaborators and black market dealers met.

Mein Führer
1944, World War II. Berlin is about to fall and is suffering continuous bombings. However, Joseph Goebbels, propaganda minister of the Nazi government, does not want to give up and thinks that a speech by Hitler like the ones he gave when Germany was at the highest point in its history could raise the nation again. But Hitler considers everything lost, he is completely depressed and is not able to convince anyone. Goebbels will ask for help from his former acting teacher, Israel Grunbaum, a Jew who has been sent to a concentration camp, who can reteach Hitler how to give speeches.
