In Fontecilla, a town in the interior that lived better times, thanks to some thermal baths to which no one goes anymore, the living forces devise the staging of the appearance of the local saint, Saint Dimas. Through his intervention, the waters of the spa become miraculous and in this way the town will once again receive dozens of visitors eager to feel on their bodies the extraordinary beneficial effects of the water blessed by Saint Dimas. In a few weeks the ruse completely escapes their control.
Mythical title in the filmography of Luis G. Berlanga due to the vicissitudes he suffered with the political and religious censorship of the time. For the first time, the version shot by Berlanga is presented, prior to the changes in editing and dialogue, cuts and additions, which completely distorted the work of one of the great masters of Spanish cinema.
