Synopsis: It is 1885, in Arizona, an Army captain has dispersed his troops to keep whites away from government lands in order to maintain peace with the Apaches. However, there are those in Tucson who want the miners to go looking for gold again, and they are putting pressure on authorities in Washington. Soon a new commander arrives, the soldiers retreat, and the miners go after the gold. Some white people kill a miner with an arrow so they can attack the Indians, hoping that the troops will finish them off when the Indians begin retaliation.
