Blair Maynard (Michael Caine) is a New York journalist who wants to prove that there is nothing supernatural in a series of mysterious disappearances in the Caribbean Sea, near the Bermuda Triangle, where more than 600 ships have disappeared over the course of three years. He is in charge of his son Justin and decides to take him with him. Maynard and Justin fly from Miami to a series of uninhabited islands. After renting a fishing boat they are captured by a band of murderous pirates who kill any intruder who appears there.
