The Clown tells the story of Benjamín (Selton Mello) and Waldemar (Paulo José), two clowns who form a humorous and quite successful couple at Circo Esperanza. Benjamín is the son of the owner of the circus and really, he feels like a man without an identity, who wanders from one road to another along from all over the country, without having their own residence, nor a stable and warm home to live in. In addition to his boring and routine life, Benjamín feels that he no longer has the same ability to make people laugh as before. That's why one day he decides to change his life radically and leave the circus with one goal: to settle in a city, look for another job and live like a normal person.
