Professor and famous symbolologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) is forced to go to the Louvre Museum one night, when the murder of a curator leaves behind a mysterious trail of symbols and clues. With his own life at stake, Langdon, aided by police cryptographer Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), discovers a series of astonishing secrets hidden in the work of Leonardo Da Vinci, secrets that all point to a secret society in charge of guarding a ancient secret that has remained hidden for two thousand years.

Together they embark on a thrilling quest that takes them to Paris, London and Scotland, as they gather clues in a desperate attempt to crack the code and reveal secrets that would shake the foundations of humanity.
