The Wells Fargo stagecoaches are being robbed by The Poet and no one knows who he is. Wylie is a player found by the sheriff and given two options, either return to Carson City to undergo a dubious trial or find and catch the Poet for the stagecoach company. Wylie decides to look for the outlaw and rides the stagecoach to Cheyenne with Ann and Emily. He soon discovers that the Sundance gang is waiting for the Poet, so he impersonates him and also discovers that Ann is the wife of the wanted outlaw.
